Scripture
"For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ's blood on the cross" - Colossians 1:19-20
Observation
The nature of God's character is to be a peacemaker and a reconciler. He paid a fearful price for this!
Application
I can only respond to this reconciling, peace-making God in two ways:
1. Gratitude and praise.
2. Being a reconciler and peacemaker myself. My character as a Christian HAS to demonstrate this. There is no place for division, unforgiveness, anger - even in the name of my perceived vision of "truth". God's grace satisfied the demands of his justice which means we live and respond to everything from a grace-oriented place.
Prayer
God, thank you for the price you paid to reconcile with and made peace with me. Give me opportunities, starting today even, to live out these same qualities. Amen.
