SCRIPTURE
"For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins" - Colossians 1:13-14

OBSERVATION
Amazing study in contrasts - rescued/transferred...darkness/Son. Ends by stating the two things on which the Kingdom is based: freedom and forgiveness, both won, purchased by Jesus.

APPLICATION
So, the foundational values of the Kingdom are forgiveness and freedom. That means that since I am a citizen of that Kingdom they must be my core values as well, the very things on which my life is based.

PRAYER
Lord, thank you for granting me freedom and forgiveness. Thank you for rescuing me and making me a citizen of the Kingdom where no darkness can penetrate. Show me the areas of my life where I am in bondage, refuse to forgive, or refuse to accept forgiveness and shine the bright, cleansing, revealing, purifying light of your grace in those places. Amen.
