WORK SOAP - INTEGRITY

Hey, we promised you that each day this week we would blog on one of the verses from the teaching yesterday about our work lives.

The Big Idea for the teaching was: Work matters because work matters to God.

We looked at four elements that Proverbs says are included in building a HIGH performance work life:

Honesty
Integrity
Generosity
Hard Work

And we asked everyone to rate themselves on a scale of one to five (one being low and five being high) as to how well you are doing in that area.

Here was the verse for Integrity:

"Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out" - Proverbs 10:9

Integrity is when I am the same person all the time. When I live with integrity, I can move through life with boldness and confidence. When I don't live with integrity I am always looking over my shoulder, fearful that I will be found out.

And I will.

So it is time to SOAP on that verse.

Scripture - Write out the verse and read it repeatedly.
Observation - What do you notice about the content of this verse?
Application - What can I take from this verse that will make my life different today?
Prayer - Now, I talk to God about how my life is going to be different as a result of applying this verse.
