Monday Teaching Recap

Monday, April 23, 2012
So, Pastor Kevin's last post about CookOut, Cheerwine, barbecue, and fries has me hungry. Just wanted to get that out there. Yesterday, we continued our series The Classics with the visit of a giant chicken and a Led Zeppelin tune. My grandmother just called and said, "Hey, that's not my church!" This is true. In the teaching (yes, I am finally getting there) we focused on the story of Joseph in Genesis 39 and the following BIG IDEA: The quality of your decisions determines the quality of your accomplishments. Nothing shapes the course of your life as much as the decisions you make. We looked at how Joseph was a world class decision maker in the areas of power, sex, and despair. Watch or listen online if you missed it. For this post, I want to focus on the Next Steps Challenge: This week I will have an intentional conversation with a trusted friend about the story my life is telling. Because every life is telling a story. And whether it is a good, bad, or simply boring story is determined by the quality of your decisions. What kind of story is your life telling and whom will you have a conversation about that with this week?
