A Complete Music Worship Experience

Monday, November 17, 2008
Music is clearly designed by God. It's his invention. Listening to a good song with the windows down on a cool day makes that pretty clear to me. One of the most recognizable figures in the Bible, David, was a big time musician. He played the harp so beautifully that it brought kings to tears. He also set up this really cool precedent for us: singing songs of worship to God. The book of Psalms is full of these brutally honest songs. David sings praise to God when things are going great and he sings praise to God when he is living in a cave and life sucks pretty bad.

David is such a cool person to look at when we evaluate why we do music in the church. God set up music to be something that both points us to Him and something that we can give to Him to serve as an outward expression of what's going on in our hearts.

We are celebrating this idea on November 23rd. Here at Next Level Church, we will be having an entire service devoted to music, to setting up this total worship experience. Our two campuses will be having this service a few weeks later, but it is going to be amazing no matter where and when you attend.

We are pretty proud of the band we have put together (in an "honoring God" sort of way), and it would be our honor if you were one of the hundreds in attendance that day for a worship service we are calling "Shattered".

Bring your vocal cords and get ready to sing and participate in a worship service unlike any other in the history of Next Level Church!!!
