Friday SOAP: All I Need

Scripture
"For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority" - Colossians 2:9-10

Observation
Our identification - our union - with Christ means we are complete in every way. We are made to be united to God and are incomplete without him.

Application
Everything I strive for outside of God - acceptance, security, love, ambition, relationship - is useless because I am already complete in Christ. Those things are actually worse than useless because the have the potential to anesthesize me to both my need for Christ and all the ways he provides for me.

Prayer
Lord, thank you for joining me to you, in Christ. Help me to rest in and rely on that for everything. Help me never to forget that you really are all I need, forever. Amen.
