Big, Big, Big Weekend...did I say BIG?

Wednesday, April 24, 2013

Are you ready for Next Level Blakeney’s biggest weekend of the year?  We have been talking about it for months, anxiously waiting, and now it is here.  What makes this weekend so special?  This is the one event each year where Next Level Blakeney has direct one-on-one conversations with thousands of Blakeney residents in a non-threatening, comfortable, fun environment.  This is the best opportunity for us to show the Blakeney community who we are and that we truly care about them and their families.

Springfest is a carnival-style event designed to appeal to the whole family with music, games, and of course food.  Last year thousands of Blakeney residents came through SpringFest and we are expecting an even bigger crowd this year. We are fortunate in that we are considered one of the anchor partners of this event and I hope you are signed up and ready to serve this Saturday.  But if not, it’s not too late.  Send Melanie Jackson an email at meljax@windstream.net and let her know you want to help out.  This is a great outreach with huge potential, but in order for us to capitalize and turn that potential into success we need everyone to jump in and help.

I know there may be Matthews Campus people reading this and you may be asking what can you do?  First, pray for this event.  Pray that the Blakeney community shows up; pray that our volunteers are moved to get involved; and pray that the Blakeney community sees that we are not a judgmental church but a loving church that cares about its community.  And then after you are done praying put on your Next Level t-shirt and join us on Saturday.  The event starts at 11:00 am and goes until 3:00 pm.  We will be there at 9:00 am setting up and will need help tearing down afterwards as well.  Pray and then come and help.  SpringFest is held at Ardrey Kell High School, 10220 Ardrey Kell Rd, Charlotte, NC 28277.  We will be easy to find so just look for anyone with a Next Level t-shirt on and they will point you in the right direction.

The fun does not end Saturday.  On Sunday, we will bring House of Blues to a close with another great Blues tune and teaching.  And in typical Next Level style we are going over the top again.  I don’t want to reveal too much but think “gumbo”.  If there was ever a Sunday to invite your friend, this is the Sunday!  Great Blues music, a teaching that is sure to hit home, and lagniappe!  Don’t know what lagniappe is?  Come Sunday and find out.

Very thankful to be doing this with you.
