Seven Things for Tuesday

-That's the sickest I have ever been without vomiting! I know, I know, a charming opening to this blog post but I was laid out by some sort of infection thing that literally had me seeing double in the 11 AM service. Just today I am feeling a little better, thanks to pharmaceuticals.

-That meant that in spite of my big talk (my wife reminded me that I said I would get my sick, sorry butt there) I could not make the Home Makeover Reveal, which is always a highlight of the year for me. I can't tell you how much that hurt.

-That said, the Makeover was AMAZING, by all accounts. Whether you gave three days, three hours, or thirty minutes - or were one of the guys who spent the night in their car, a tent, or a cardboard box - THANK YOU! They'll get personal thank you's from me, but to the leadership of the Makeover in particular and the Give:Love Project in general...you folks are off the hook awesome. Thanks for giving yourselves away and making a real difference in the Springhill neighborhood.

-Excited to launch MODERN FAMILY this past weekend and pumped for week two of the series coming up this Sunday - ULTIMATE MOM DAY! My entire post tomorrow will be about this, but I wanted to let you know today that you need to do everything you can to get yourself, your mama, and maybe even your grandmama there on Sunday. We are really going to make it a special day for moms.

-Blown away by the fact that we found out about Usama Bin Laden's death via Facebook and Twitter in our house. Crazy how much our ways of getting content and communicating have changed in the last couple of years.

-Today marks Miranda's 38th week of pregnancy - getting close to a BIG change in our house. Please be praying for her and for Beckett - that she will be well and that he will arrive safely!

-We have a sermon series coming up on the book of Daniel in a few weeks. So excited this week to begin the process of deep study in a section of Scripture that is incredibly relevant to how we live today and the challenges we face!
