You Should Get Baptized (A Great Day)

There are awesome days and there are REALLY awesome days.

I've had some awesome days in my life. I got to go to a Miami Hurricanes road game while I was in college and Devin Hester returned the opening kickoff 104 yards for a TD. That was a good day.

Once I went with my entire family to Cedar Point, a roller coaster park in Ohio. I love riding crazy roller coasters, and that was an awesome day.

Then there are days that go way past awesome. These are REALLY awesome days, or "Best Days Ever".

The day I found out I was chosen to be a part of this band I really wanted to be in was a Best Day Ever.

The day I got married to my amazing (and really beautiful) wife was a Best Day Ever.

The day that I became a dad, and the day I became a dad AGAIN... those were Best Days Ever.

Last fall at Next Level Church, I had a Best Day Ever, and it all centered around Baptism. If you haven't heard it explained out before, Baptism is an outward sign of an inner life change. It's basically a way to tell the world, "I belong to God."

I was blessed enough to be able to baptize my wife Emily, my son Jake, my two nieces and my nephew, all on one sunny afternoon at Next Level. It was one of those landmark days for all of us... Emily had been baptized when she was really little but didn't really remember it, and she had always wanted to be baptized as an adult now that she knew what it all meant. For the kids, they had never been baptized before and they wanted everyone to know that they were a part of God's family. I was glad they wanted me to be a part of it!

It was a day we will all remember for the rest of our lives.

If you've a follower of Christ and you've never been baptized before, or if it's something you feel like God is calling you to do again, I've got good news for you. Baptism is THIS WEEKEND at Next Level Church. You should get baptized if you never have... you really should.
